Fuel Filler Hose Recall - Anyone Experience Consequences After the Fix?

Infiniti just has to legally cover their butt in case there is an issue, that's why they send you a notice. Many manufacturers wouldnt even bother and handle this case by case --- Infiniti is pretty good about that; they did the same with brakes (extended the warranty).

That concern never enters my mind working with my dealer.
I haven't gotten the work done yet, but I have inspected the lines and mine look fine. To inspect the lines, simply jack up the car (I jack from differential case), support with stand, remove the wheels, and peer in through wheel well between the suspension cross-member and fuel tank. The lines are clearly visible, but not remotely serviceable.

I see where you are coming from; you are lucky -- this recall is like going to a Dr. for a headache and they perform brain surgery. In this case, risk to grief ratio just isn't right. Maybe half hour ...Of course this isn't true for all recalls -- Kudos to DaveB ; you could probably go to any shop and pay for this to be checked ( or when you get rear tires, brakes etc.) ..then have it taken in to a dealership if there are issues.
I'm taking mine in on friday to get it done along with other things. How long does this process take? I read at least 3hrs. Correct?
Visual inspections may seem okay now, but down the road it'll start to wear down. It's better to perform the recall asap before your car explodes.

I had this done and about 2 weeks after the procedure, the inside of my car smelled so badly of gas while I was driving that I had to stop and get the kids out. I had it towed to the dealership and after they "looked at it" and found "nothing wrong" 
, the smell went away and I had no further problems. (It took them 2 days to "look at it")

Are you saying right after you bought the car it had camber issues? Off the lot? If not a hard hit, curb, pothole can do taht.

Could have been a coincidence, but after my my recall my tranny gave me more grinding into 5th issue than b4 it. Not too long after I got a new tranny.
To make matters worse the tech(s) that did the work put my rear seat back on top of the recline levers and forgot to re-attach the flaps behind the seat backs. Apparently you have to drop the rear to do the recall. Supposedly to drop the rear you have to remove the rear seat. I guess when they put it back together they must have been careless. Not the first time I've been disappointed by my service dept.

Do a little research on this recall before you let the dealership lamebrains tear the #$@#^ out of your G's rear end. Not saying all recalls are senseless, some are definitely worth pursuing....
