g35 drives like a slalom skier on highway

This problem hasn't really manifested itself untill past few months. I took a turn too sharp and my right rear tire came off the wheel partly. Dealer said I should get an alignment but i opted not to because I wasnt about to plop down 200 dollars right then and there.

When going 70, the car drifts right a lot. without accelerating, the car will just drive itself into the next lane. Today on the way home from work at 75 with some above average wind outside, it felt as if i was fighting to keep the car stable.

Do I need an alignment? Would that TSB help any? Could it be my tire pressures are off?

weird, never had this happen before with any other vehicle.

I personally would get an alignment done, as I had the problem after an accident, but when I took it and had it aligned, it resumed a perfect line. The situation with your tire doesn't sound too fun/safe so that's something I'd get taken care of.

As for the TSB-- not 100% sure this is your problem, however if it comes with a free alignment, then it's up to you to decide. Good luck, and let us know what happens,

An alignment would most likely fix your drifting problem. $200 isn't much to pay for your own personal safety.

around here a good quality 4 wheel alignment runs 80 bucks from a good shop.

There was a procedure in the FSM that said if a car drifted into another lane within 7 seconds (no hand on wheel, level road) some adjustment needed to be made. Several early G's had this problem and were fixed under warranty

Do these cars need a 4 wheel alignment because they are front and rear independent suspension, like the Vette? Hmmm, one more thing I didn't think of, but I agree, even then $200 is steep!
