when was the original purchase date(from the original owner). The service dept should be able to tell you. Maybe it was in mid 2002 and your bumper to bumper might have expired.

call your service advisor and ask him to pull the history on the car. That way you'll know what your working with.

Oh yeah, I read my extended warranty coverage, as I just purchased an '03, and I made special note that the exhaust would be the first part I upgrade on the car because... it's not covered. Says it in bold, sorry to say. I'm curious as to the reason your exhaust is bad and needs replacing. Did you bottom out and put a kink in the pipe? (Heh, not likely) Maybe I missed something but I don't recall you mentioning the reason the exhaust is bad, except for that pesky fuel hose!

Yeah I went in before my warrenty was up and they were going to charge me 100 to replace the hose because I had an aftermarket Exhaust on my car!

Sedan
You can buy a bolt-on Borla for something like $750 and install it yourself. It will sound much better that the stock exhaust too.

No I am just going to get rid of the car. I am very dissapointed with Infiniti. I was looking at BMW and Lexus at the time and gave the new kid on the block a try, well I got screwed. I have two friends looking at buying a G35 and I am going to make sure they buy something else. I tried to work something out with Infiniti, maybe meet in the middle on this and they said no.

Thanks to all for the replys, and good luck in the future.

Where are you from? I talked to a friend that works at the Dealer here and he said that would work a deal out with you about getting it replaced due to the miles on the car!
