I am in the market for a G35 Sedan and have found a 2003 BS/Graphite demo car with a little more than 4000 miles on it. It has premium package, winter package, wood and full size spare. What price do you think I should be looking at for this car?
I appreciate all the help! I cannot wait to get my G!!!

The most important thing to consider is that you are essentially buying a used car. In the last few months there have been *lots* of used sedans for sale on eBay with under 5000 miles with reserve prices in the 26k-29k range.
I personally wouldn't pay a dime over $30000 from a dealer for that car.

Hmm, wonder why so many are being resold so early?? Are people expecting something from this car that's not being delivered?
I, for one, cannot wait to get my hands on mine and plan on it being around for a long time!!
As to the price, I'd say 26 - 28,500 would be reasonable 3-5 grand more and you're in a brand new 04. If I were you and had an additional 3-5 grand I would buy a new 04...more standard features, and you know where it's been...

Well, at this point the car's been out for nearly 2 years. Some people are trading in autos for manuals. Some people are getting ready to buy the AWD. Some people are switching to coupes or FX's. Some people are fed up with their G for various reasons and bailing out on Infiniti. Some people simply don't keep any car for more than two years, and are moving on to something new.
As for the demo car.. with 4,000 miles on it.. I figure that car has been on anwhere from 200 to 400 test drives, with nearly a third of them occuring during the break-in period. All of those drivers probably floored the gas pedal on the freeway and put the car through a few paces to see what it could do. This car was most definately stressed excessively during it's break-in period. Can it take it? Probably. Will it cause problems before you're ready to get rid of the car? Don't know. But, it's definately something you should consider as de-valuing this car compared to one that somebody bought, drove for 4,000 miles, and is now selling.

You are right, I've known a lot of people who barely keep a car 2 years, they get "antsy" driving the same car and see something else they want! Also, I feel many people get in way over their head when buying a new car, some trade in cars that are worth less than they owe, and carry that over into the new car. That's nuts, but it is widely done!

I offered $28,500 for the car. I felt that was reasonable given the condition and miles. I was even willing to move up a little, but the general manager wanted me to pay only $1,500 less than what I could get an '04 with the same options. That G is in the past and I have already found a dealer offering barely over invoice on an '04 BS/Graphite, premium, sport. Thanks for advice!

Just a follow-up!
Put a deposit on an '04 BS/G premium, sport, with splash guards and and trunk mat. Paying $650 over invoice plus the $195 processing fee. I am picking the car up SATURDAY. Man am I pumped! It has been a long wait and series of negotiations with the wife, but I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.

There is NO way I would pay 28,500 for that car. I just bought a brand new 03 6mt with premium for 29,000. You can get that car for 26,000 if you keep looking. Better yet you can deal with the fleet guys on the net and get new 03's for 200 over invoice. That should put you at about 30,500 or so for new car.
That is why I walked away and bought an '04 Sedan instead.
They were not willing to come down at all and there was now way I was going to pay that much when I could buy a new '04 for just a little more. I was just hoping to catch a great deal on an '03, but I am absolutely pumped to get my G on Saturday!!

So for in my first week of ownership I cant get over how easy this car is to drive. you can leave it in 4th and never change gears if you dont want to. ( unless you come to a stop ). the power on this thing is just nuts. Anyk gear, at any speed and the power just comes out of nowhere. I love this thing.
