navigation everyone

Hi I just bought a 2004 g35x sedan. It has everything besides the navi. I want to really get navigation. What do I do? How much would it cost from infiniti to get oem? I want navi in that place where it can go up and down like oem if i got aftermarket. I see all this screens, but then it replaces the cd changer. I want to keep my 6 disc cd changer, since it has mp3 playback also. What can I buy to get navi in that spot where oem is?

Hate to say it, but search. Someone asks this question almost every week. In fact it was asked earlier today.

I've read somewhere that going to an OEM Nav will be very costly and time consuming b/c it's wired into the main wiring harness or something like that.

just build a carputer, so that you can integrate navi and mp3s all in one

Infiniti will not install a OEM one in a car that did not have it and will not sell it! they say it is way to hard to do I asked before I bought my car!

From the dealer its an arm and a leg and honestly its not worth spending the kind of money it will cost. You are better off just getting an aftermarket one or try finding at least the monitor and stuff on ebay.

I just had one of my customers do the stock navi screen with the motor and all but another friend wired it up down in miami for him for it to work. It was a local guy who is a genius with car electronics and making stuff work. But even then it was still an arm and a leg. The navi was the stock monitor and if I remember correct a kenwood brain wtih all the wiring for it. Just dont know how he got it to work but it was teh stock screen in the holder with an aftermarket brain and stuff hooked up to it to play dvds and all that.
