HIDS & fog bulbs

So I guess I just got my 2004 g35x sedan and it comes with hids. Dont hids come factory on every infiniti? How do I change those fog bulbs to match my hids, what color k is my factory hids? Is it possible to get them brighter or are they bright enough?

factory hid temp is 4.3k you can get a bluer color which are phillips ultinons 6k but with higher k in hid the luminens drops so it isnt as bright. for fogs get silverstars or piaa super whites they should be close to the 4.3k

Early 03 G's had HID's as an option. Changing the fog lamp bulbs requires opening the inner fender to access the bulb. Factory HIDS are around 4300k and are as bright as they will come.

Piaa makes an H4 bulb that is close in color to the oem HIDs. I would start there. Look over in the lighting section for more info.

So do i have to open the fender to get to the headlight in a 04? How hard is this? I asked a ebay seller about bulbs and he responded with this

You will need 9003 (aka H4) HID Conversion kit to convert your fog light into HID in order to match the HID low beam.

We do carry the H4 HID Conversion kit in stock for 169.99 dollars a set plus S&H.

The H4 HID Kit includes two JDM H4 HID Bulbs similar to the D2S or D2R bulbs you have seen in this auction plus two Osram powered HID Ballasts.

If you are interested, please let us know and we will send you the invoice to check them out. If you want to get the low beam HID bulbs upgraded too, we also have special bundle deal.

yeah, but personally over here in atlanta, with the fog and dark back roads, yellow is a better investment.
