Front brakes being replaced under warranty

Re: Front brakes being replaced under warranty
Got this from someone at Edmund's Town Hall. He went in to purchase a 6MT Coupe and asked the salesperson about the brake issue. Salesperson said it's going to be covered under warranty, and gave him a fax copy of a sample letter from Infiniti, of which a scanned copy is attached here. Note that this does not apply to Brembo brakes, regular brakes only.

Did they give any idea when this letter might be sent out? That sounds like a good deal for sure! You sure will need the letter if it becomes an issue I am sure!

Re: Front brakes being replaced under warranty
The phone number on that sample letter got me curious. It's 800-947-9115. That's not the main Infiniti Consumer Affairs number. I checked with GSM to see if it's a Canada number (since that's where we first heard of this warranty). It's not. So, I called it. It's a number specifically set up for the brake warranty thing. Call it if you like, the friendly female recorded voice will tell you the same thing this sample letter does. At the end of the recording, you can press "1" to get info on reimbursements of previous brake jobs, or press "2" to speak to someone.
So, if your dealership gives you any hassle, just ask your service manager to humor you and dial that number.
If this isn't an official program, then Infiniti needs to sue someone.

OKAY guys.. if you paid for brake service you may be elligible for reimburcement (?sp? i dont care)
You must send either a

Re: Front brakes being replaced under warranty
Thank ryoken...think I bought my G at the right time. A buddy of mine's wife drives an original '03. Had front brakes AND rotors changed a few weeks back (~19k on the car). The service dept. suggested an upgrade to Stillen rotors. My buddy will be interested in this letter. Thanks again...this list kicks booty!

I called this number, and then hit #2, got a human voice, she said the letters are going out really soon, asked for my vin# and had my name and address from that number, I didn't give them to her, so it sounds legit!

Re: Front brakes being replaced under warranty
This is awesome. I think I can start driving a little "harder" on the brakes, knowing they are going to pay for them.....now if I can only time it right...to need a new pair right before the warranty period ends.
oh wait, did I say that outloud????

I was already doing that before I found out about the warranty program.
I didn't buy this car just because it looks pretty in the driveway....

Re: Front brakes being replaced under warranty
I took my sedan in for 7500 mile service and my front brakes were only 10% worn... and this is with the 5AT ... but seeing that warranty I guess I should start jamming on my brakes more often
Seriously I am a lot more disappointed in the CD-Changer... I'd rather have them recall that piece of you know what and I'll pay for my own brakes

Well, since it isn't asafety issue, doubt that will happen!
