6MT Clutch/Tranny Issue? Need Help!

I've been hearing a slight popping sound when releasing the cluth while shifting between gears. It seems to be the loudest when shifting from 1-2, but is still very noticeable between gears 2-3, 3_4. It seems to go away after 4th gear. Any thoughts before I take it to the dealership on Tuesday?

FINALLLYY someone else with the same problem i have been having (among many) with my 6MT! Yes it is usually 1-2nd but sometimes will happen in higher gears and its more of a click.....dealer could NEVER reproduce it even after i drove around with a tech =/ also it usually seems to happen when it is hotter. i have had this problem for almost a year now and now i get a few clicks that makes the clutch pedal feel knotchy and they can now be heard from the exterior of that car! ughhh

Hot weather?

Mine seems to have been getting worse as the weather has gotten colder in the midwest... I would agree it is more of a clicking noise. Anyone have any ideas? I shouldn't have any trouble reproducing the noise as easy to hear/ feel when driving the car.

I took mine in two and a half months ago and they told me they were going to order me a new one and that it would take 3 or 4 weeks to get in.. I need to call them about that..

Thumbs down

i was told that too and my g only ended up sittin at the dealer for a week and nothing was ever done. I had my master cylinder replaced which didnt do anything...i was told the input shaft also needed to be replaced another time too. i have totally given up on the dealer by me and will never go there again. hopefully i have better luck elsewhere

Any recordings of this?

I just picked up a new 2006 g35 sedan with 6mt and was just curious what this actually sounds like? I do feel that this tranny is very loud between shifts. I just wanna be on the look out for anything that you guys are experiencing as well.

I haven't noticed any problems with mine besides the time at around 400 miles when the clutch STUCK TO THE FLOOR between a shift from 1st to 2nd and my engine just kept revving???! geesh. got the entire clutch replaced. haven't had a problem since

Dropped off at Dealership today

They agreed that it was really loud and out of the norm but had no idea what it is. We will see what their explanation is after they have a day to "diagnose" the issue

My son just bought a 2006 G35 coupe and he was driving it yesterday. He shifted into 4th and when he released the clutch nothing happened. My husband and I went to "rescue" him and when we placed it in gear and released the clutch it did the same thing. So, car is placed in gear and when we release clutch, nothing. Any ideas as to what would/could be causing this? And has this happened to anyone else?

IT could be a few things actually, any wear from the hydraulic system to the plan of Clutch been gone. Was there any previous issues or symptom's?
