was it a 65? where you going over 65? where you going 80?

if those are all true, then a) you where speeding, b) you got caught, c) he gave you a cheaper ticket than he should have.

im tired of people posting they got tickets...... (i know im guilty of it myself, but ive come to realize its retarted to complain about it)

You got a ticket for going 80 On 280? Where the average speed is like 85. Is your car lowered?

thats how it happens - thats exactly how i have gotten tickets. When there are other people driving (more than 4 cars) then go with them. But i have learned to drive the speed limit or 5 over max all the time now (my friends hate me, and i hate them....they do facking 80 in 40's and dont get caught), especially since i have a body kit. Cops will pull over a g35 > a corolla in the same situation.

You are most likely going to get the points and fine. If you are eligible and your state does it you can take traffic school for no points. The other option is to go and fight it saying that the speed you were going was reasonable and prudent for the situation you were in (no traffic, dry, good visibility, etc).

Also note that many insurance companies do have a 1st ticket forgiveness and won't raise your rates for the first ticket every so often.

Good luck!

Pay the fine and go to traffic school to clear the record. I think red light and carpool violations are higher than a speeding ticket.

it's the end of the month and cops are really targeting anyone who breaks the law. whether it be spitting on the floor, putting gum under benches, speeding, etc. cops are really tryin to make that standard junk to get more money. top of that, it's almost new years so they are really sniffin a5ses for anything.

In the State of Georgia, speed violations <15 are considered a non-moving violation and only have a fine (NO Points!). On multiple occassions I've played the "I'll go to traffic school if you reduce to 14" card. Check you're state laws on how points are assigned... may be the same as GA.

Man this is CA we can't walk across the street..play our stereos loud...smoke a cigarette in public...but we can have an ounce of weed in a car... Yeah we get points on every moving violation, unless you can go to TS.
