Too Sporty?

I know the car is "sport tuned", but why is the ride so bumpy? I feel every freakin bump on the road. I had '96 Maxima which drove smoother. Is there anything I can do to dampen this "sportyness?"
Thanks

The #1 way is to get softer tires and softer struts.

If that does not work, a sports sedan is not the car for you!

I'd say and Lincoln or Caddy should dampen the sportiness...lol.

First of all what do you have? If you have the sport susp, then maybe you can do a trade with someone with out the sport susp, although I would never do it, not worth it. Do you have the 17" or 18"' wheels. You can down size the wheels one size to gain more rubber/cusion. If you gotta a lot of miles then time for a new susp.

I am about to go with a 19" setup and firmer suspension lol...
I guess I would rather feeling the bump then feeling the rollover and sloopy turn-in.

On a serious note, if you already have the 215/55/17.. I dunno how can you go softer on tires; you might wanna try a softer suspension setup.

That sums up most of us. I have 35/30 series on my car and love it. There are times when I hit a bump and it bothers me but I consider it a trade-off. 90% like it 10% hate it.

Just put a picture of your car on your dash...when you hit that big bump, immediately look to the picture....guranteed to bring a smile to your face.. you will forget you hit that bump in the first place

LOL

I just hit the gas and loose traction. It works very well most of the time.

I have '04 Sedan with 17' alloy wheels, 52k miles, Nav system. I don't think I can downsize to anything less. Maybe changing the suspension or struts?

Just trade it (ask for some money back too!) with a non-sport suspension...
Alot of people are more than happy to sell you / trade you their non sport suspension

You can get 225/55/17's next time you need tires, that should help make it softer.
