View Poll Results: How do you react to your car's first ding?
I have to get rid of the ding IMMEDIATELY, I can't fall in sleep until my car's look is perfect.

I would wait until more dings on my car so I could do it at once.

I ignore it, I would sell the car sometime in the future anyway, why bother.

How do you react when your car gets its first ding?

This is a poll, just want to know how do we, as a car owner, react when our car gets its first ding?

Cry and stay in and out of public for a few days, then attempt to hunt down the bastard that did it.

I got my first ding on the second day i brought the car home from the dealer. I was at the DMV and the parking lot was full, so i parked next to a 4 dr mercedes thinking they would be careful as well... needless to say, i came out and the mercedes was gone and i have a ding right above my right rear wheel well... i was fukcing pissed like no other and of course the g/f didnt understand why. Its still there to this day, its not as noticeable now that i have rock chips and minor scratches from the last year and a half.

Last week I was tapped from behind by an old lady, I went ballistic! She had no idea that she had hit me and that her bumper was still touching mine. WTF are you doing? I said. Her mouth dropped in total confusion. She had no clue. I yelled at her and made her shed some tears (yes I felt bad aftwards). I noticed there was some minor scratches on my bumper that could be buffed out so I got her information and split. NO BODY MESSES WITH MY RIDE!!

When you can no longer judge how close you are to the car in front of you due to age or health reasons, it is time to stop driving.

Am I a bad person?

I didnt find the one and only one I have until after the fact. Its right above the rear driver side wheel on the flared fender. Looks like a kid in an SUV opened the door and made contact with my car. Luckily its smaller than a quarter and isnt very deep. Only noticable from certain angles and certain lighting thankfully

Somebody backed into my G the other day (At least I think that's what happened, two parallel scratches about 6" long on my rear bumper) At first I was really pissed but then remembered the body kit in my garage and that the bumper would be seeing some work anyways...

I got my first ding while driving home from the dealer just after I bought the G. I was driving down the street and heard a bang. Looked when I got home and saw a pretty bad ding in my rear passendger door.

I immediately got back in the car and drove back to the dealer and left my car at the body shop to be fixed.
