I'm looking to purchase an 07 G35S Auto. I have to get an auto because neither my fiance or myself know how to drive a manual. I wanted to know what type of performance mods would be available for this car. Basically I would like to know if the auto tranny can handle twin turbo's safely. I currently have an 04 C32 AMG which pushes 349HP stock. The car is a blast but not really modable with out spending serious money. I had a lot of fun modding the hell out of my 02 Passat and I was told the G35 was a good modding platform. Any recommendations would be much appreciated. Thanks and Happy New Year.

 

I would Def consider learning how to drive stick if you are going to be the primary driver.

 

Usually takes a year before preformance parts starts coming out for a new model. Would look at getting an Amsoil drop in air filters or K&N air filters.

 

1. Learn to drive a stick
2. Pony up $10k on a set of twin turbos
3. Have fun knowing your girl can't drive your car

lol flamed. You don't HAVE to learn how to drive stick to enjoy the car. The 07 with the AT isn't too bad for an automatic, but for that kinda TT power you were thinking about, I think we just figured you were a sports car buff and should have learned to drive stick already...

All that being said, just wait a few weeks and enjoy the car stock and there will be plenty of mods on the horizon.

LOL...why? So he can have almost exactly the same driving experience he will have with paddles, plus having to learn stick so he can drive his new car? And his fiance too?

Sorry, don't mean to jump on your post (which was actually quite reasonable ). I just love threads about how "true sports drivers" use stick; will tell Michael Schumacher that if I ever meet him
