Well its hard to take someone seriously if they think a Lexus SC400 is sporty. Also, you are driving a slushbox G35. If you actually want to DRIVE your car you need to be able to row your own gears.
Very true . I guess i get bored with my car to. Thats what makes modding fun.

seriously, stop comparing modded vehicles to a somewhat stock g35

You don't like the auto but you want a GS400?? Guess what

SC400 had more power but alot more weight also. GS400 had 300hp and is a great car. But Lexus has so many traction and suspension nannies, it won't be any more "fun" to drive. Plus you can't disable Lexus stability systems w/o doing a Texas line dance each time you enter the car.

Just you. I love driving the coupe, and when I have a sedan as a loaner I still have a great time driving it. Not as much as if it were a manual, but fun none the less.

I have the 07 sedan now in 6mt... wow so fun, so responsive i love it. i had a automatic coupe that i just traded in and im so happy i got this thing. it rips! so fast! ive driven the 6mt coupe before and this has more power and eveyrhting, you should def look into this car im sure you will love it. the clutch is realllly sticky making it a challenging car to drive smoothly but i like taht becasue it keeps the fun! take a look at my thread under 2007 g35 under pics of my g35 s . you might think different!

My G35 is quite a bit quicker than my friend's GS400. His best is a 14.7@96mph.

I absolutely love my G35 and I'm get excited to drive it everyday (two years now). Sure, the interior isn't up to the standards of a Lexus, but it's not priced like a Lexus either. Maybe if I would have bought my car new, I'd feel a bit differently about the interior. However, I spent $25K on a barely used sport/luxury sedan and a 350Z chassis. I'm not complaining. Nissan cheaped a bit on the interior, but pumped a lot of money into the powertrain and dynamics of the car. There's not another car on the market that offers the performance, dynamics, and roominess for under $40K.

BTW, I think the stereo is completely fine for normal listening. I'm not 18 anymore so I could care less about thumping bass or deafening volume.

Next time I suggest you research and spend some seat time in a car you're considering on buying.

While I agree that autos are more mundane around town, don't count the right auto out when it comes to fun. I too tired of my auto G pretty quickly, but now I've owned an SRT8 for a year, and that car is absolutely the funnest car I've ever owned. Not the fastest (10 sec modded Camaro SS was), but the funnest. And with a lightly modded 450+ hp on tap, huge grins every day.

The best test of how fun autos can be was at Daytona at the Skip Barber driving school that comes with any SRT purchase. An entire day of driving every SRT made, Viper included (Viper was the only MT in the bunch). Then at the end of the day you take a ride with the instuctor at the wheel on a high speed road course. OMG!!! Bring a change of underwear! You'd never call autos boring again!!

^^^ infinitialex are those real figures or numbers u got from the specs, if specs theyre not exact. you have to see what people ACTUALLY run with their gs400's. and how much does the gs400 weigh??? probably at least a good 100 pounds heavier than our g's...keep in mind the sedan weighs less than the coupe.

What is right about the same times a G35 puts down. Not that this fact will increase your "fun" factor in the Gs400

You're asking to get flamed with a statement like that. If you don't like the car, sell it and buy something else that is "fun to drive".

Compared to both of those cars G35 seems so boring I drove g35 for about two month now, I thought I would get use to the car but its still not fun to drive two month later. I dont know if this has to do with the size of the G or maybe because of how smoth transmision shifts, Im not sure. Its just does not seem fun to drive......
ANyone else feels the same?
pick up your speed, and practice lots of getaway turns, should do the trick for ya. Last option is to trade it in. You are not obligated to be bored.
