Get whats called a custom apraisel. It's where you sit down with an appraiser who will go over your reciepts for items you put on your car and they will give you an estimate on what you car is worth. You then turn it into your insurance and they will adjust your premium. It's well worth it especially when you have a modded car.

aftermarket parts = additional premium upon coverage request. wheels and or stereo equipment only. photos and receipt required. custom wheels coverage costs about $500.00 per year.
vehicles with the following are not acceptable with most insurance carriers:
-body kits.
-altered suspension with + / - 2 inches in height.
-vehicles with any mods to increase speed/performance
-vehicles with any of the following (HKS, Greddy, and etc.) parts. These parts can not be covered under insurance even at extra cost.
Some companies may though, or you can get by if the insurance company dosen't know about your mods... I work at an insurance company and those rules are pretty much standard.
