350z Springs and what the color dots mean....
I just bought some 03 350z springs for my 06 sedan. I searched and got conflicting answers on which color dots go where. My springs have these dots:
1 Pink dot
2 Red dots and 1 White dot
Which are the front and the rear?
Thank you,
Accordhybrd

1 pink dot = front.
2 red one white dot = rear.
By the way, the 2 red, one white dot means you have unrevised springs. The rears also can be identified by their larger diameter.

You got the unrevised springs. Pink dot is for the front, rubber sleeves go on bottom when you install the springs. 1 white 2 red is the rear. I just installed the rear springs yesterday.

What's the difference in the spring rates between the front and rear revised springs?
I naively assumed that all the springs were the same size/same rate, so didn't even
pay attention to the dots... :-(

Front 314 rear 427 for revised. Don't worry. You could not have installed them incorrectly. Rear springs won't fit on the front struts and front springs wont fit in rear (they are very different).
If you installed them and everything fit you should be ok. If you put the revised springs on and kept the stock shocks you may wear your rear shocks quicker than usual because they are not properly setup for the higher spring rate. If so, that is just an excuse to buy some D-Specs.

On the front springs I have rubber caps on both the top and bottom of the spring. Does it matter which end it up. One end has a grey rubber cap and the other end has a black cap on it.
I just had the 350z G35 coupe springs installed. there is no black rubber on them. and as mentioned you will need to replace your struts with the revised springs even on a G35 with sports package. Revised only applies to the rear 350Z springs (427) the front springs have the same spring rate regardless of model year.
