New Owner-Some Noob questions

Hi, we bought a 2006 G35 with premium package. The car is awesome. Compared to my 2002 Accord Coupe, the interior is 100x better.

Bare with me because I have some questions regarding the dual climate control. This is my first car that came with this luxury. Do most owners turn off their climate control before they shut off their car and turn it back on once they reach operating temperature, or do they just leave it at their desired temperate, hop in the car and drive off. For the 10 years I have driven, I have always turned on the heater or a.c. once the car has reached operating temp, then again, my previous cars did not have automatic climate control. Is it ok to just leave it on? Are there any cons to leaving it on?

Also, how often do you lexol your leather seats?

Thanks!

Congrats on the new g. Never thought about the climate control, just turned it on whenever i felt hot or cold. For the lexol, I usually do it once a month, it really depends on where you live and how much sun is gonna be on the leather. Are you also using the cleaner?

I just leave the climate control on automatic. It will not turn on until the engine warms up in the colder months. Of course, the AC does turn on as soon as you start the motor.
I don't use lexol. Instead I use Leatherique products from LEATHERIQUE LTD.
I found this on the Infiniti site. I know Lexol works great but I think this works better. There's an oil and a cleaner and my wheat seats look new after almost 2 years and 43K miles. See them here:

+ 1, I leave my climate control set at 70 at all times. As stated above, the heater will not blow until the car is warmed up and it can blow hot air.

The only time I turn it off is if I have the windows down and sunroof open.

I used to use lexol and it worked great. I recently switched to the Zaino leather treatment products simply because of the smell (Lexol smells awful and nothing smells better than leather after Zaino is applied). I hit my leather seats about once a month and that seems to work great.

Thanks for the quick replies. I bought both the Lexol Cleaner and Conditioner, but since the car is so new, I just conditioned the seats this past weekend. Once a month sounds good to me. I will keep in mind the Leatherique and Zaino, if I'm not satisfied with the Lexol in the long run.

Zaino leather treatment every 6-8 weeks. More often if I have time.

I leave the climate control on all the time. I have to adjust the temperature at times depending on the amount of sun hitting the car and other factors. The dual control is very helpful, as my wife always wants it at a different temperature than I do (usually cooler).

I have used Zaino on my leather because I have not liked the smell of others I tried. Personally, I don't thhink the Zaino really smells like new leather, but at least it isn't a bad smell.

Enjoy the car!
