Keep tires properly inflated, don't mash the throttle, drive on the freeway if possible, go easy when the motor is cold (drinks more gas), keep your engine properly matained (filters, oil, etc), if your parked idling for more than 30 secs, turn ur motor off.

I heard having VDC off helps... don't know if you can handle the car though without it

You didn't say what your mileage is. You say you get gas every three to four days, but if you're driving 400 miles, that's fantastic. Know whatta mean?

Assume from your reply that you still do not know what your gas mileage really is. Be helpful if you figured it out-not just guessed. Is your tank bone dry at 230 miles? That`s what I get from your comment.

115 miles on 1/2 a tank!?! I get better mpg than that. I still get 270-300 per tank with a TT kit. 260 if I drive all city.

I have not let fully run down the tank i fill it up when its half empty and by the time its half empty its like 115 miles between 120's and then i go and reset the mileage again when i reset it...

VDC = Very Decisive Cornering. So turn it off and floor it around a corner and the car Corrects it self fixing your mistakes. So basically it wont let you lose control.

and what does vdc off do and why wouldnt i be able to handle it?

And when you fill it, does it hold 10 gallons? That`s half a tank, and works out to 11-12 mpg. Sucks!

VDC = on.

If you don't know what it does, please leave it on. Chances are you need it. Just ask any one of the bumbling fools who disabled it and then launched their G into the nearest immovable object.

+1. There have been a number of members here that have turned off their VDC and learned a lesson the hard way.

i drive slower most of the time. i only really get on it at on ramps. i also coast at most stoplights, exit ramps and steeper hills so that's an extra 30 seconds or so of idling and the car's coasting at about 40-50 mph. my work is about 6 miles away (12 total, 6 days a week) and a couple of errands here and there. with that, 1 tank lasts me about 2 weeks and that averages out to about 340 miles per tank. road trips i can get about 425 doing 60+.
