Just picked up some high power white hyper leds from vled.com - the 168/194 (same as 158) model leds.

I popped the trunk open today and saw the trunk light. Saw two clips there and tried to pop out the light cover but no go. Do I have to remove the trunk lining or something?

On a similar note when changing the rear license plate leds, do I have to remove any other housing or just pop out the led covers?

I think these could be found in your owners manual, however, it may be different for 06, than my 03, but mine is just a clip that I pinch on the right side for the licence, and the trunk one, there is a tab that you pull outwards while pulling down on the dome.

 

I just d/l your owners manual, check out 8-36 and 8-37 of your owners manual to refer to what I was talking about.

Oh, and the whole housing comes out as one piece for the licence plate light.
