How to reset ECU?

How to reset ECU?

Besides disconnecting the battery,what is the other way to reset the computer? THe gas pedal method, anyone have a link?

It clears out any codes, clears out the driving habit memory, stuff like that.

Thanks guys, my buddy at work bought the K&N Typhon Intake and is now having a rough idle, so hopefully this does the trick. He has a coupe does that matter for reseting the ECU?

just reseted mine... Drove around... seemed kinda more torqueeee or maybe i am just triping =)

Yeah, once you reset it, it will start learning your granny ways all over again. Drive it like it was stolen and you will not have this problem in the future.

No, if you drove it nice for a while, the ECU will learn that and adapt. It may not all be in your head. Now that you have re-set it it's more how the car should be.

End result is the same. Battery disconnect takes a few hours, pedal method resets it in just a coupe of minutes.
