Splicing 2 wires and warranty effect

Hey guys,

I built a couple of my own LED clear corners plus blinkers and all I have left for it is to hook up the wire for the blinker. (see https://g35driver.com/forums/lighting/133672-led-parking-blinker-clear-corner-teaser.html)

Anyone know if there are any negative warranty effects for splicing into 2 wires? It is a simple job and all, but if they try and claim the blinker blew the BCM or something ridiculous, can they try and void my warranty in anyway?

They have to PROVE that the spliced wires are the cause of the failure

Or they can deny your warranty, force you to get a lawyer, make it be a long and expensive drawn out case.

The laws are there to protect us on paper, but when it comes to the "system", we're screwed.

i agree with daveb. that's exactly what they would do in such an instance

Well one thing I will say, if they try and argue with me electrically, I think I'll be fine. Being an electrical engineer has its perks in that regard
