The Osram Silverstar is as bright as it gets, I have a set installed as well. It's slightly brighter than stock.

The Stock is "silvania silverstar by Osram", US spec. There aren't going to be Huge difference, neither will the PIAA be any brighter.

A whiter or bluer bulb gives less light output under the same Wattage.
Although people sometimes sees whiter as brighter, kind of like butt dyno, not accurate at all.

Many who replaced old bulbs & see improvments mostly because the bulbs being replaced were old, they go down in light intersity about 40% when after 6 month old. Simply replace it with a new set of stock bulbs will also brighten it up.

I am guessing you repleced a set of stock bulb that's fairly new, threfore, not much improments. These bulbs could give a bit more light if a mod which increase Voltage by 20% are installed. But that's known to burn out faster.
It's not really worth it.

For real improvment on light output, you have to upgrade to HID or Projector.

Silverstars

The latest Silverstar is the "Ultra". The claim they are brighter. I have no personal experience. YMMV. HTH.

I don't think the ultra's are actually brighter than the regular silverstars. I saw a pait at pepboys, they were $50 and just had a darker blue coating on them veresus the orginals light pinkish/purple. I put the silverstars in all three of the accords we own simply because with the 9005 mod, nothing beats them short of HID's. Also the UK ones put out more light because they dont have the coating found on US ones, which is why they are more yellow than the ones sold for the US.

For those who are looking to match the OEM hid color, there's only really two option: blue bulbs or HIDs.

That's a mod us former Accord owners know all about. Basically by trimming part of the headlight base or bracket for lack of better words, you can use 9005 bulbs where 9006 should go. I don't believe it's a mod applicable to G35's.

You are paying money for basically an extra set of Osram .... since the stock fogs are made by the same manufacturer in the same light temperature range... Regardless of light temperature range, you are still looking at similar output since they are the same specs and manufactured from the same manufacturer

I was hoping the fogs would match the HID color better than I feel they do now but I haven't actually taken the car out for a drive in the dark. Maybe they'll look better then.

All in all, it took me a lot of work but I enjoy spending wrench-time on my car as I learn more and more about it and enhance my comfortability with modding on my own.

I guess if I took out the amber reflector in the lense it wouldn't look like there were three different colors in the housing.
Personally I like the look. It sets my car apart (just a little bit). I do want to get rid of the yellow reflectors though. I also want to paint the housings black to match the car. All in due time, though.

I think you would be better off getting a HID kit. If you keep buying different bulbs it's going to cost as much as the HID's and you'll have a major headache in the process.
