HKS muffler

Hi does the HKS muffler have any HP gains or is it just for looks and sound?

I'm pretty sure it's for looks and sound, if any, maybe 1 or 2 hp up top but I've also heard that you lose a little tq down low.

use the search function of the site you will get much better results, because there is always questions about exhausts.

No or very little difference. The OEM exhaust is very good at it what it does.

Yes, it is just for looks and sound. You will get no performance gains or losses. You can feel absolutely no difference from stock. However, for the sound it is worth every penny.

I already have one. I was just wonder how everyone else thought of it. I was just wondering if I gain anything from it. Because to me I didn't feel any difference. They say even if you gain or lose a few HP you wouldn't be able to tell the difference anyway.

OH...you're thread truly didn't read that way. Sounds like you don't like it..... I felt the loss of low end torque, but the exhaust note outweighs that IMO.

Oh sorry for the confusion. By the way I do like the exhaust. I was just trying to figure out about the gains because you know how some co. advertises 10-15 hp gains but in the end it was just for sounds. For example CAI.
