Hey my opinion...... Go with the 350 Z H Techs. They will give yuo about a 1 inch drop in the front and a bit less in the rear. I installed these about a week ago and I think they really do look awsome. I was like you also, never wanted to touch the ride height, especially since I live in NYC, but with 20 inch rims its a must. Fills that gap up a bit, its not expensive, and all I had to do was switch the springs. You dont even need shocks, just an alignment. If you want the shocks you can get the D specs, but since mine is leased I dont even think I should waste the money. By the way, Will these sprins ruin the shocks at all and about how long can you go with them with no problems.

That's for the coupe, wouldn't it be more of a drop for the Sedan?

If I were to run coupe springs on all 4-corners...what's the difference between the front coupe springs & the front Z-springs??? I'm guessing the Z's are a bit lower of a drop?

I would venture to guess the coupe springs are about 1/2" higher. If you did go with the coupe springs you would be back to a situation where the front looks higher than the rear (in reality its not, but it looks that way because the front fender wells are bigger to accomodate turning). This is a personal preference thing. I like mine much better with an even look so I lowered the front more than the rear. Many just run Z springs all the way around, again it is just personal preference.

As for the D-specs...what's the difference between these shocks & the coupe suspension?

The difference is adjustable dampening and about $400 probably. Someone can correct me if I am wrong. I am assuming you can get coupe sport shocks & struts for $100 and D-specs for about $500.

Also, anyone know what this would cost me for a shop to do the install (all shocks & springs)?

It is not that hard to DIY. I can point you to a great write-up by the guru Gsedan35 that I followed. You can buy all the tools necessary for less than a shop would charge you I believe.

Matt, how much was your install?

I paid $150.00 for the install as I have no room at the house and it was better that the wife not see me doing more work on the car...

Do it the right way and go with a coilover you can adjust the ride hight to your liking.

Perry - Hey man..it's been a while since I've seen you on some threads...thanks for the info. on your car. Car is still looking great.

So you too are running 350Z springs up front & coupe springs in the rear? I really am loving the ride height on yours & Jamey's car. What made you switch from the Eibachs?

Thanks. Well based on that, I now know that I want to go w/ the spring setup that you have...Z's up front and Coupe's in the rear. Sounds like my best bet is to buy them used from this forum & my350z.com?

Well that settles that...looks like I'll go w/ coupe sport shocks & struts then...does it matter if I get those or if I get 350Z shock/struts? (not sure which ones I'll have better luck finding)

Ahh..I'd rather pay the $150 and not have even MORE tools & things to fill up my already full garage.... Thanks for the feedback Matt! I too would rather the wife not see this....my excuse I'm going to tell her is I had to have my shocks replaced because they were worn & not covered under warranty... .

Jamey - See above in BOLD Thanks guys.

jimmy. The G has to be one of the cheapest cars to effective lower that I can remember. Go for it!

I have the coupe shocks and Z / Coupe springs at home waiting to be installed. I'm a bit afraid the rears will rub with my coupe 19s wheels/tires though.

Cool man..I'm not doubting doing it now, esp. since it's far cheaper to achieve the look than I imagined. I now need to find out where to buy this stuff.

Can you fill me in on how much you paid & where you got all of your setup? Thanks.

I'm running 2005 Revised Z springs/struts all around on my sedan. I didn't take any real measurements but it dropped the car everywhere nicely. I'm still running my stock sport 17" wheels on 235/45 tires and i think just visual and aesthetically...the front could be lowered a bit more. Even though I scrape the front bottom black lip on curbs and driveways sometimes...and I'm in flat old Houston too. Overall I love the stance the Z's susp gives. Bought it on the Z forum for $260 shipped back in late 2005. Handles better than OEM sport, ride is more cushioned but still sporting. At the end limit of handling the sedan is still has more flex and sway than a Z does.

I just got unrevised 350z springs for my 06 sedan with sport suspension. I hope to be putting it on in the next couple of weeks.

BTW I paid 80 bucks from www.my350.com

I wasn't happy with the feel of the eibachs and it was diffcult for shops to align my car back to spec with out a camber kit. I haven't taken my car to get it aligned yet but I did purchase SPC front and rear camber kit for a good price on eBay just to be on the safe side. I really like the way my car feels with the 350z/G35 coupe springs over the Eibachs on stock shocks. I'm going to start looking for Tokico D spec shocks though and once I find them for a good price I'll pick some up.

I just finished a 300 mile drive today with 70miles through the Blue Ridge Parkway with the new suspension - car dropped right at 1" on both front and back - I will post pics when I get home.

Pro's -
1. Looks damn good!
2. Less see-saw motion under acceleration and breaking
3. Other G's speed up to look at the car
4. Cornering is vastly improved
5. Car rides pretty much like stock around town and on the highway

Cons
1. Body roll was not reduced as much as I thought it would be - (Hotchkis sways in the garage which I expect will eliminate this problem)
2. OEM non-sport 17's look woefully inedequate.
3. Over uneveven roads the sound and feel are transfered into the cabin at a higher rate over the stock suspension (if that makes sense)

Overall I've very happy with the performace gains and the look of the car - The drop is perfect for making the car look aggressive with out being considered "slammed" - can't wait for the 19's
