I own an AT 04 sedan and i jus hit 3000 kms on it. ive broken it in pretty well, not going past 5000 rpm but not babying it either. but the problem is here. sometimes when i accelerate from stop or from slowing down, i cant go over 2500 rpm. then i try to floor it and it wont go any higher. this is a very scary problem especially when taking left turns at intersections. did i do something? i went to the infiniti dealership (not where i bought it) and they said they didnt know what was wrong with it. so they shut off the "service engine soon light" and sent me on my way. this is really frustrating and i need ur guys help.

That's a dangerous situation. You're going to have to leave it with the dealer for them to evaluate it over a few days.
The problem may be in the Transmission Control Unit, The Engine Contro Unit, or the Transmission itself. Altho if it's either of the ECU or TCU, it should generate a code that could be read.

Are you saying they did not attempt to fix the problem, only reset the check light? I would report that dealership to Infiniti and then never go there again!! There is obviously something wrong with the tranny and it should be service immediately!! Good luck.
