+1, and with the turbo on the outside it sounds bitch!n'. Listen to the C5 on their website. Mustang GT had 447 rwp with the dual kit.

Quote: so a kit would be the best thing to do then?
and turbonetics would be a cheaper install..?
is it absolutely NECESSARY to have a front bumber with a huge whole in the front for the intercooler(i just bought a stillen lip but havnt installed it yet)
and what about a supercharger anyone recommend that?

IMO a kit is the best idea.
It is not necessary to have a large opening but the more airflow to the IC the better.

A SC is another good option. Not as efficient as a turbo but any FI is still better than none.

Quote: the cheapest ive seen so far on the net is your setup ttrank...i see the greedy twin turbo kit for $5,019.....so you recommend finding a way to get this...i just think its gonna be to expensive...the tuning...emanage..all sorts a stuff...

That's just the turbo kit, not the IC kit. The lowest price I have seen for both is ~5500. That's jut for the kit, you should also get a better EM like a UTEC and tuner. Those are another $1200 or so. The install is ~2000-2500 at most shops.

Quote: After watching Horse Power TV earlier, I wondering how come more haven't done the STS turbo kits that mount in the rear of the vehicle where the muffler(s) go.

http://ststurbo.com/universal_system

Apparently they also have a 350z setup coming out early this year.

The universal kit was $2995 and requires some minor fabrication of piping. But one doesn't have to worry about any under the hood fabrication as far as downpipes, exhaust manifolds, etc...

Remote mount turbos are a cool idea but have their problems too. You will have more lag and possible oil problems since you need to add a pump. I might do one on my GF's pathfinder since no one makes a kit for it.

The systems are designed to replace the muffler. Just as the setup in the pic on the link I posted. I wonder if an intercooler would be necessary on low boost setting below 7psi with the temperature drop from the length of the piping. The stage 1 stillen S/C runs on 5.5 psi w/o intercooler.

The turbos sit below the oil pan and need a pump for return oil from the turbo back to the oil pan and vice versa.

An oil pump to get oil all the way back to the turbo. Any time you have a turbo away from the engine or below it (like the APS ST) you need to add a pump to get oil to and from the turbo.

The kit I listed is universal. There website says they will have a kit specifically for 350z this year.

Lurker, from looking at your sig, it seems as if youve almost spent enough to have bought a used t-netics kit....

just save your pennies and if you really want it, youll get it!

Remember, you get what you pay for - and "skimping" on a turbo kit isnt the smartest thing in the world.

Best of Luck man...i know how you feel. I had the same feelings about 6 months ago - so i bought a single turbo........Evo IX

Back by the muffler if you don't mind it being a little loud.

I would think you can do a TN is 10-15 hours.

Good luck saving! You can always do a 0% credit card for 12-18 months. That's how I started. Just make sure you can pay if off before it starts charging interest.
