Getting pre-owned wheels: what sizes fit/doesnt fit G35x sedan

I plan to get a set of used rims and the way I see it, most of the BMW website have alot more choices than here. Could someone explain to me what size/offset fit our cars?

I have a 05 G35x sedan

what range of offsets fit ?

What are camber plates? why do I need them?

what type of shops can Roll the fenders for our cars if the wheels dont fit?

what tires fit our cars?

what are spacers?

Does G35 coupe rims fit on the sedans?

Basically If i want to purchase a set from BMW websites, what should I look out for?

first off, there's no point in getting wheels off of a BMW site as they dont have the same bolt pattern as us, its useless.

For the X you dont want to go staggered unless you pull the fuse on the AWD. Most people run 8.5" wide with offsets ranging from +35-49.

We dont have camber plates on our cars, we have camber adjustable front A-arms and rear camber arms. They allow you to have the wheel sit straight up and down for even tire wear. You dont need a camber kit unless the car is lowered.

most body shops know how to roll fenders

if you're going with 18's use 245/40 or 235/45
for 19's 245/35 or 245/40
for 20's 245/35

spacers are used in between the hub and the mounting back of the wheel, they will push the wheels outward if you dont get the right offset.

some G coupe rims fit the sedan, you have to get the right offset.

and lasty, you CANT buy from a BMW website. Our bolt pattern is 5x114.3 or 5x4.5
Bmw's have a different bolt pattern, 5x120 i believe.

bmw's bolt pattern is 5x120.65(5x4.75) which will not fit our car...our bolt pattern is 5x114.3(5x4.5)...

I thought only the rear camber was adjustable and the front weren't adjustable?

Where you located? Maybe you can find a set that you can look at first before buying. I may have a set of 18x8's with 245/45/18 General UHP tires on for sale, if they don't fit my son's 300ZX!.

Keep the same size F/R on the X. It's just not worth it.

No rolling of the fenders if u stay with a 8.5 width or less. Im runnning 245/40/19 with comfortable ride.

I'd stay away from lowering the X even if u you get camber kit. Most of the spring options out there give it a pretty harsh ride. not sure, but i believe the camber kits still wont fix the neg camber...just my experience.
