20x9 What is the correct tire size??

Hello all, so i have 20x9 rims with tires that i bought used but the tire size that are currently mounted is 225/35ZR20 all around. Not sure if those will look small.
I need to replace 2 tires and was wondering if i can go a different tire size that is more fitted with the G.
If the rims are all 20x9, would it be bad if i staggered them? (I am putting a 38mm spacer in the back)
For Example: would 275/45/20 work for the rear without being stretched?

It might work, but you will lose a lot acceleration due to the massive increase in rolling circumference.

You need to go with 245/35 in the rear.... If you want to go 275/35 then you need to buy new front tires that are 245/35... If your on a budget, which it totally sounds like you are, just buy 245/35 for the rear and you will be fine.. That's my opinion BTW....

We would run 245/30-20 front and 275/30-20 rear.

There's your answer! ^ You could run the 225s in front for a while, the 245s will give you much better control at speed...Gary

I love my Michelin Pilot Sport AS 3 plus's. 245/40ZR17 front & 255/40ZR17 rears over my old 245/50R17s all around I feel a huge difference in handling, control, acceleration, grip, & stability on my lightweight 17"x8"s. I agree with Gar' and Tyke420, in your situation I would go 245's in the rear and call it a day. They should yield to you all the benefits I just described on your set-up and the best all-around performance for the street.
