Bad wheel bearing
Bad wheel bearing
Hey guys, so for the past month my rear passenger side wheel started making a grinding type noise when driving at 20 mph but the noise stops when I step on the brake. After doing some research I'm suspecting it's a bad wheel bearing but I can't be sure until I bring the car to the shop. I was just wondering if the parts I need are all included in the link below. Any input is appreciated. Thank you

Get the front up on jackstands, take off the wheels and spin the lugnuts back down, spin the rotor by hand, noise?
If yes then remove the brake caliper and pads, no more noise? Issue is the brakes not the wheel bearing.
If you remove the calipers and there's still noise then it's a wheel bearing probably.

Update on suspected bad wheel bearing
So all of a sudden the noise coming from the rear passenger side wheel disappeared yesterday. I drove it for about 10 miles on the highway at 50 mph which I haven't done in awhile and the noise was still there. I parked my car for about an hour and the sound disappeared on my way home. Today I went for a short drive and the sound was on and off. This is the second time it has happened. Usually the noise is there whenever I drive. Any ideas what it could be? Thanks again.
Possible the heat shield is rubbing on the rotor or something is lodged in between. Get the wheel up in the air and chock the front wheels. Remove that wheel so u can see the brake rotor and caliper assemblies. Start the car and put it in drive and let the wheel spin as u inspect.
