I didnt fix my car, it was totaled blah blah blah, i wanted to strip it as much as I could but my insurance told me that they will not cover the parts if they are off the car. I got a check for $26,000 and paid the $18Grand I still owed and pocket the rest. Im thinking about getting the 08 Coupe,08 350Z,used E46 M3 or maybe the 335i. Havent made any decisions yet. Good Luck with your car.

Wow, hate to see the wreck. I feel your pain though. My damage was pretty minor and still cost $5k to fix when I wrecked mine. Hopefully they will just total it and you can start over. It's a PITA but in the long run it's better IMHO.

Glad no one was hurt - that is the best thing!

thanks for the well wishes everyone. Like you all family and life is a top priority for me and the rest can be worked out by the insurance people

This was certainly an eye opening experience and have a greater appreciation for SRS's all they way down to the child safety seat anchors.

I spoke briefly wiht the my USAA appraiser and he said this might be repairable but could take upwards to 30days!!! But the good news is no one is at room temperature!

If this thing take 30 days I think I will go nuts. I seriously doubt the car will every be right again so I am hoping they just chuck this one to the weeds.

Pretty sure I will be driving a G again though.

Completely agree. I've had two accidents in my lifetime, and both times I traded the car following the repair because I couldn't look at them the same way anymore. They were never the same.

The best part is that you and yours will be around to make the decision.

Sorry to hear about all this Foo_G but as everyone else has said what's most important is that you and the family are ok.

Good luck with everything .

Its good bags went off. have seen alot like mine where they didn't. Though the front of the G absorbes impact very well. For a split second after impact I thought something was wrong with car like the brakes were on and engine dead. Then realized I just T-boned some dumb Azz that ran the red light. No time to hit breaks or anything. Lots of people there saw and said I did not have a chance he was flyin. G can be replaced good your all OK

I spoke with the collision repair center and the estimate is up to 15k dollars so far! Looks like it may be sent to the gallows. I am a bit relieved but hate to see a good car go down like this.
