Stagered offset on a sedan

Stagered offset on a sedan
Is it possible to put wheels on the 04 sedan with a stagered offset like the coupes.
I am thinking Volk LE-37's T 19x8 front, and 19x10.5 on the back (i want that big phat lip on the back).
I would like to run as wide of tires as possible on the back. I see alot of people have no bigger than 245 width tires on the sedan. Is that the max size, if not i would like to put 275's on the back.
Also what would be the best wheel widths and offsets for the sedan for the Volk LE-37 T's. thanks for any info.

Re: Stagered offset on a sedan
There has been some discussoin reguarding this subject, If you have an 03, I would say no, becuase I personally put differnet size tires on my G..and the SLIP light came on... although I think it "recodnized" the chagne now.. the dealer still warns against this.
..Anyone with 04 knowlage?

You see a max of 245's for those that keep the same size, because anything wider than that is pushing it as far as clearance in the front. Officially, Infiniti says 225's are the widest allowed in the front.
As for wider back tires, the important thing is the diameter of the front and back tires. They need to be really close. Use this Tire Size Calculator to find some sizes that have nearly the same diameter.
The big thing is the VDC system. If you get too much of a difference between the front and rear tires, the smaller tires will spin faster than the larger tires and the system will think some of the wheels are slipping and constantly be attempting to correct the "problem" by applying the brakes to the smaller/faster tires.

skyline350GT,
There is NO WAY that you are gonn ae a ble to fit a 10.5" wide rim int eh back. 9.5 is pushing it and you need to have an incredibly precise offset, and a very large one, +50 or so. Believ me, use the offset calculator and you'll see. I put hours of research into this. Make sure thewheel diameter is withing 1% of one another. Use the tire size calculator for this. As a result of this research, I am getting 8" +40 in the front, and 9" +45 in the back. And here is the proper size (these are smaller than stock but are within 0.1% of one another) for tires: 245/40-18, 275/35-18.
GurgenEDIT: i just checked the LE37T specs: the highest offset number is +42. If you put this wheel on a sedan - it will stick WAY out of the fender. Your tire tread will be directly under te outside fender edge. Way too wide.

Re: Stagered offset on a sedan
you can go staggered no prob, its just you gotta watch the offset and the width of the wheel. i went 275 in the rear on 9" but i wanted my setup flush so i had to calculate and even then i had to roll my fenders. if that is not a big deal for you then i dont see a prob. i dont think 10" or wider is gonna werk. your gonna rub for sure and if it sticks out then it's gonna look gay. i havent had any "slip" light problems at all but maybe my car is broken =) definately take everyones advice and calculate your numbers and make sure you get the right sizr tires and offset.
