Oil filter 06 G35x

Guys, simple question, my infiniti dealer is an hour away and I would like to use my Nissan dealer that I bought the Armada @ to do oil changes. Is the oil filter in my car common with that on a Maxima or altima, hence they should have the filter on the shelf?

It's a standard Nissan one. They can do it for you. I just buy filters in bulk from Riverside Infiniti and DIY.

Thanks guys, the deed is done the G is finally gone synthetic @ 8300 miles. Now lets watch MPG's and see if cols AM starts are better. Dealersaid it is the same filter as the Z. Ijust can't see drive an hour to the dealer and where I change the oil every 6 weeks do to my traveling requirements, dointheold driveway thing, just isn't working in a Maine winter, and for $15.83 why would you(what is your time worth, I supply my synthetic to the stealership).

hey! another mainer! There is only one infiniti dealer in the entire state yet three members on the forum...one of which has a HKS S/C!

lol, anyways, I am at bates college and I do all the work in the parking lot behind my house

local walmart sells Mobil 1 5w30 for 22 bucks. I found my mobil one M1-108 oil filter at some local parts store for about 13 bucks.

I drop off my oil at my local nissan dealership.
I change the oil every 3k miles or so

I also switched to an Optima Red Top battery to help combat the cold weather cranks

Neal376, I think I met you a couple months back at Bill Dodge, you were getting a on the spot alignment(I think) yup only a couple of us hear from Maine. Bought the G @ Herb Chambers Boston. These guys were great to deal with. As for the oil changes how do I beat $15.83!!!!!!

yea! I remember. I blew a bearing (maine potholes ) and requested an allignment afterwards. Bill dodge is a great dealer. I assume it is because of its small volume.

How do you like the snow traction? I am very satisfied - you have to keep on the pedal to keep those front wheels moving. No need for snow mode.

my local gas station back home charged 9 bucks for an oil change! but they still do a sloppy job (spilling oil) either or - it takes me a good hour to change my oil - - but it gives you a nice sense of self accomplishment.

i paid $30 for jackstands at sears + a few dollars for an oil filter wrench. after a few oil changes, the parts pay themselves!
