Assuming you're not joking, yes, it's true.

Yes it is rear wheel drive unless you loose rear wheel traction. If you press the snow button, then it's a 50/50 split.
Check out http://www.modernracer.com/history/i...5xhistory.html

Go about 2/3rds of the way down and you can read all about it.

You know how some trucks when you turn the 4WD on you have to stay under a certain speed limit. Is the G35x that way when the snow mode is turned on?
Hmmm RTFM?

Not 100% sure but I believe from 0-15 or 0-30 the traction is split like 30% front or 70% rear and then once you get above that its 100% RWD until it feels a tire slipping. Its something along those lines!!

It means Read The factory Manual. The best contributors to this forum are people who have a real interst in this car, and cars in general. A basic understanding of the car is requisate for good, constructive discussion.

Take a good look at your woners manual, and check out http://www.infinitinews.com/infiniti/index.shtml for basic information on you (and all Infinitis).

I think that's the beauty of the G35X actually--that it's still a RWD car until it HAS to be AWD. If it came with the 6MT, I would've considered buying it...

My thoughts exactly. I think it's better that way.

The AWD in your system is way more "intelligent" than an all time All-wheel drive; you get the safety and advantage of a 4WD car:
- 50:50 during launch and or drive off
- the ability to lock the car at 50:50 when you press the snow button

Moreover, what you get more than a 4WD car is:
- the fun of a true sports car (RWD) since you are basically at 0:100 unless if you are launching or loose traction
- Traction, traction and a lot of traction since the system can send ALL THE TORQUE to the wheel or drive shaft that need it to keep your car in control.

So why would you want to have a full time AWD car when you have a more intelligent version of it that can give you alot more (alot more than best of both worlds).

G/L with your new G
