Gas gauge not going to full...

I recently noticed that the last two times I filled up with gas, my gague never went up to full. What the heck is going on?

Sounds like your fuel sender unit in your tank is stuck.

I believe there is a TSB on that one.

I have the same problem. It started after the recall where they took out the fuel tank. After that, my car would misread when filling up. There is a technical service bulletin out. My car does it intermittently now. I might take it in to have it fixed. BTW, my car is an 03.5 Sedan.

I have the same problem. Started happening after they worked on my car for the fuel recall as well. Sigh...time to take it in again.

I had the same problem after getting the shudder valve recall fixed. the gauge wouln't read full, brought it back and they fixed it, but then the gauge wouldn't go to empty(ran out of gas once) got that fixed and then it wouldn't read full again. Had to bring it back about 5 times then they replaced the whole gas tank. Problem solved

Mine started doing it for the second time a couple of weeks ago. Going in for service soon anyways so they'll fix that too.

Mine will only fill to just at the full line sometimes and other it will go a bit above. Just passed my warranty last week. I wonder if they will still do the TSB's? I would think so.

Yup, I had the fuel filler hose recall done about oct/nov last year and now my gauge will only go up to the line right before the full line. I even overflowed my tank once at the gas station where some gas spilled out and the gauge still wouldn't read all teh way full. I'm guessing the TSB above involves the same procedure as the fuel filler hose recall where they have to remove a lot of parts just to drop the fuel tank right? In that case I may just live with it since it's only off by a little bit and I don't feel comfortable with them taking all that stuff apart again.
