Windshield wiper question?

Okay when I turn on my windshield wiper to the max speed there seems like there is no stopping point. When they go up to wipe the windshield it's fine but on there way back down they slam back to it's original postion. I took it to the dealership to fix it and I think they replaced the motor. But it kept doing the same thing. Anyone every have this issue? What could it be?

Are they banging on the bottom of the windshield? If so, I think you can re-position them up a bit.

Check this link, page WW30 for removal and replacement of wiper arms.

+1

Sounds like the wipers are not positioned right and need to be moved up a little.

Sorry but I'm not a mechanic and I don't know how to read the pdf file. So what I got out of it is to loosen both nuts that hold the wiper arms and adjust it accordingly.

I'm not sure but it seem normal and in correct position when they wipe upwards.

Sometimes my wipers bounce off the bottom position when they're on...it didn't start doing this until I installed the Bosch Icons. I'm not sure if its related or just a coincidence - and it's so random I can't tell what's causing it.

Well mine has been doing this as long as I can remember. And it does it everytime I turn on the wipers to high. They did this with the Bosch and also with the new Valeo I just installed.

Well it seems the simplest solution for you is to take it to the dealership and point out the issue to them. Also state that you had this issue before and they replaced the motors. They'll tell you if it's normal or out of position.

Well I brought it to them the first time already and they couldn't fix it what make me think that they can do it the second time around. Also I don't want to have to waste time and money for them to tell me all it needs are adjustments.

Download Adobe Reader

If you have a crescent wrench, you can do this.

Oh sorry to sound confusing but I know how to open the file I just don't know what I'm looking at when I open the file. It seems like they are telling about the whole windshield wiper operations. All the fuses and what each and individual function one thing does. I was just wondering if I can get a short and simple answer. Thanks for you help.
