Revving to 6k with jwt/z tube/plenum

Now we all know that the mods mentioned above make the sedan (no idea about coupe) sound more meaner.

Since all the schools here have started, the traffic is insane. out of the 70kms i commute daily i get to unleash the G for a mere 10-15 kms - rest is all 30-50 kmph in traffic.

So whenever i get a chance, i switch to manumatic and gun it. 1st to 6k rpms, 2nd same, 3rd same, 4th to 5k rpms.. ive done this only this week so far.

Will my G die :P I just love that sounds though - esp 1st and 2nd at 6k rpms - its slightly deafening at times (no bs).

If you're maintaining your G, revving and shifting at those points should not be an issue. Just my $.02. It hasn't affected my 6mt as of yet.

Your G will love it. Your ECU will adjust to the new driving style and everything. Now your gas mileage will not do so well.

If you do that everyday--probably will die faster than if you didn't. If the G is at least as reliable as my old 95 maxima was--I used to gun that thing at least once everyday to redline for one reason or another. Of course the maxima was stick, not auto, so can't say how an auto would hold up to that kind of abuse...Had no problems with it up until I sold it at 138,000 miles...May the G take as much abuse as the old Maxima did...

You're driving the car like its meant to be driven... how is that gonna hurt it?!!?! I drive like that atleast once a day everytime i drive my car. You're not gonna break it as long as you take care of it (sched. maint.)

Very true. I have driven all my cars like this and as long as you take care of them they last. I even had a 91' sentra SE-R that was my side/fun car with lots of N/A mods. I beat the crap out of that car all the time and it was still going strong with over 180k on it when I sold it. Wish I still had it...

Also remember the tach is off by a good bit mainly in higher rpms. In auto mode mine will shift at the indicated redline but in manumatic I can take it to 7100 just before it hits the rev limiter. If you are only shifting at 6k then in manumatic then you still have a good bit more room to go.

340 on a tank sure would be nice. I guess I'll stay with my TT kit and average 280-290 per tank.
