Squeak and Rattle warranty

I was informed by my service advisor the other day that the squeak and rattle warranty is only good for 12months/12k miles. What BS, I have had 10 new cars in 8 years and never heard of that before...of course I never had one over 1 year besides this one

I was all set to get an 07 when my lease is up, but now I am going to going with a BMW.

Don't listen to your S.A. He is full of sh*t.
If he/she gives you the run around, I would go to a different dealer for service. Also, talk to the general manager and address it by saying you are interested in purchasing a G and asking if the bumper to bumper warranty covers squeaks and rattles. I am sure he will tell you something different than wat your S.A. told you. That is why they have bumper to bumper warranties. Brakes and alignment I can see as a 12 month thing on a new car, not squeaks and rattles.

Ask him to put that in writing, because you want to complain to INA about their (Infiniti`s) warranty policy. Don`t act mad at the SA, even though we all know he is full of ****, rather act sympathetic that he has to enforce such a BS rule. My guess is that he will find a way to "get around the rules".
If you have access to another Infiniti dealer, you don`t need to act nice. I`m basing my advice on my situation. 3 Infiniti dealers w/in 50 miles, all owned by the same company. I can`t afford to pi$$ the service guys off!

FYI - many car co's have a one year "adjustment" period as part of their standard bumper to bumper policy. Honda is one, and there are many more. The warranty will allow for squeaks and rattles as adjustments up to 12mos/12K and that's it.

I would not be surprised at all if that is Nissans (Inifiniti) policy as well.

That's exactly what my SA told me... however, I have a good rapport with my service dept so they have done some adjusting after 12 mo... If you have a rattle that happens to be a TSB (there are a few) then they will do it for free.
