Question G35x Info ?

Hey new here. how is everyone ? I almost bought a coupe then realized maybe an X in NYC would be best for a daily dirver. Looking for some upgrades(perofrmance, suspension, wheels, etc...)let me know whats the best way to go? How are the tein h tech springs for the X ? Vortech blower was an idea for me i wanna get the car into the mid to high 12's automatic, let me know, thanks......

Search...you will find all of your answers.

There is a sticky at the top of the sedan forum for lowering X's. There is one owner with a Vorteched X and there is another member with a HKS supercharger. Thats it so far.

Is much easier to mod the coupe over the X sedan ? From some reading i see mods are a lot more diffucult on the X over the rear drive !

I will be getting the Stillen cat back exhaust soon. I found a few more good videos of it on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=jameyb

I think I will also do a ztube, not sure about the cone filter yet, I think the stock intake is good, I just dont want the resonators.

I really wish there was more of an aftermarket for the X. The aftermarket for many other AWD cars is large, like suburu and such. You would think the G35x would be a favorite with its RWD bias.

Yeah I agree. If I was getting another car I would definitely get the 07 RWD. I thought that I wound need the AWD feature due to snow but the past 2 years we really havent had too many snow storms. So its just a waste.

My vote is for 07 AWD. for 3 reasons:

1, AWD is great for snow, you only need to get stuck in snow once with a RWD to appreciate AWD. I've been stuck in snow twice with my two RWD cars.

2, The AWD launch is awsome, don't need big fat tires.
My launch with 223 tires are perfect, no need for fat & heavy wheel & tires which help traction but hurt performance.

3, AWD is more special if you get FI later, a lot more room for up side potential.

Absolutely easier/cheaper to mod the coupe. Lots of choices for every mod..and are bolt on. Also, depends if you want AT or MT as X is only AT. Nothing specific made for X ...ie springs, sway bars, TT. Eventually, if you're desperate enough to mod...like me you need to have custom work. I chose X cos of my family with me . If i was single...definately coupe.

Again, Definitely 07X,
If you want a coupe then wait for 08,
otherwise you'll regret it as soon a the 08 comes out.
