So I found me this 8-speed Skyline in my garage today. Thought I'd take a few pics...

Yes the bottom halogens are the fog lights, that for some reason I turned on for that photo. The top parts are the low beams which aren't on in this photo.

Neal, the CVT model was the most expensive model in Japan. I say was, because they don't seem to offer it anymore (or at least I can't find it on their site).
We also get heated seats (I didn't see buttons on his center console) and cruise control. I wonder if he got a maxi pad with his car like we did . I wonder if he has TPMS.

In Japan they also have an option to have floor lights in the front foot wells, and they are a bluish color.

More pics showing cluster when car is on and possibly while shifting using the paddles. is there a display of some sort showing that "ratio' ("gear") the car is in?

Thanks for the pics. Yep, that's exactly what I was looking for. Guess my search continue. Enjoy the ride and happy modding.

Paddle shifters are soooo sexy. Can you take a more clearer picture of them from the side please? If not... thats ok, I feel wrong for asking you to take the pics lol. Are the mirror's power folding?

Got any mods planned?

question: - so with the introduction of the infiniti brand for 2008 in japan...would the "Nissan Skyline" designation exist anymore? (in other words, will the 350gt model become an infiniti?)

Because that is the thing to do in Japan. The Americans rename the G35 to Skyline and the Japanese do the opposite. Everyone is trying to make their vehicles stand out.

Lexus's 8 spd is a regular automatic with a torque converter. The 8 spd discussed here is a CVT... completely different from a slush box automatic.

^^that's correct. doesn't run on gears... but a pulley system. u could set it up to be a 20 speed transmission if u want. a cvt has virtually an unlimited number of gearing ratio's if u'd like to put it that way.
