At that speed, I doubt there would be any other damage than the bumper. If it weren't for the tow hook, you'd be off clean...Anyway, hate to say, but it probably will end up being ruled your fault, since you were behind...On a related note...my wife drives a RX300 with tow hook too--but we only put it on when towing the camper. Wonder why someone would just drive around with their tow hook on...

sorry to see that...It's very common for this type of accident in San Gabriel Valley, Los Angeles. I almost got into the same situation a couple of times because some people just can't drive. I've learned to look at the vehicle in front of me leave completely first before looking for the thru traffic.
Unfortunately, most of the time, it is your fault

sorr to hear that man. breaks your heart doesnt it?

happened to me too. a stupid cop here was cutting in the traffic and forcing me over, i bumped a yaris doing 2-3kmph. my heart sank - but i bumped him with my front plate.

the guy was nice enough to let it go due to no damage done. a few mins before that i actually gave way to him to enter the traffic - so it does pay to be nice.

My professional opinion having investigated over 250 traffic collisions; you are at fault.

By the way, MOVE YOUR VEHICLES! Please, please keep traffic flowing.

I feel your pain and I understand about people doing boneheaded moves like that. The problem is what she did isn't necessarily illegal. And by law you are supposed to keep a safe distance in order to account for stuff like this. So as messed up as it sounds, it's your fault for not paying attention or not keeping a safe distance.

Giri, that sucks, but hey, **** happens.

take your G to international autobody. talk to John, tell him you're referred to them by Boris (presuming vodkarocket wants to vote for them), and by Igor (i definitely vote for them).

they do awesome job, and charge cheap labor. i would definitely trust them to work on my car - oh, wait, i did! i have my nismo aero kit put on by them, and they did some custom painting and molding work, + clear brah - all with awesome results.
