Thinking of ordering the mirror turn signal...

Does anyone have any suggestions on who to order them through? I have a quote en route from japanparts.com... is there anyone else I can get these through?

Make sure you see them in person first. I had some on the Maxima that i used to have, and they were less than i had expected. They looked great at night, but they weren't the best fit.

I was actually thinking of looking for some, so if you find 'em, post a pick!

I believe Japanpart.com is the only source for the mirror turn signals.

Had you considered making your sidemarkers flash with your turn signals? There's a thread with instructions in the Technical and Modifications section and at Freshalloy.com. This mod will certainly achieve a similar effect and cost a lot less. Just a thought.

Kazu at JapanParts will take care of you:
kazu@japanparts.com

They are called the TRAFFICATOR MIRRORS.

Sometimes it takes a couple tries to get him to realize you want to order, but he is pretty nice and quick about getting back to you. If you are online at around 11pm pacific, you can carry on a realtime conversation with him via email.

Here's a link to the sidemarker flashing mod that keeps the regular sidemarker functionality when it's not blinking:
http://www.6mt.net/shop/sidemarker.asp

Has anyone here tried this on a sedan? It doesn't look too hard to do, plus it doesn't really cost anything...Maybe I'll try it when I take my snow tires off in the spring.

I just did this. The worst part was the taking off the first well lining, then putting it back. It took me about 1 hour for the first side, and 20 minutes for the second side--and I had no clue what I was doing before. I'd say this is easy to do if you follow the instructions

Re: Thinking of ordering the mirror turn signal...

CdnG35,

I agree with the previous posts Kazu @ Japanparts.com helped me get my turn signal mirrors (trafficator mirrors). I think they look INCREDIBLE now that they are installed. I've gotten compliments on them.

As for installation of them, some guys have done it themselves. I had the dealer install them. I'm not skilled in that area of installation (besides, the instructions were in japanese. LOL). Nonetheless, the service manager quoted me installation cost of $340 and should take a few hours. Well, lets just say it was the first installation of this type they'd ever done and it took them 10 labor hours (over 2 days)to complete! The dude told me, "Congratulations, you were our guinea pig. We SHOULD have charged more than double that for the number of labor hours it took, but I will have to eat the difference". I told him, thanks.....LOL. So, sorry for anyone who goes into Midway Infiniti in Phoenix for signal mirror installs. They're on to how technical this can be.

That sucks - no emerald mist. I wanted to get those, but they don't come in my color. I'd have to get them painted.
Any other sources for these?
