Hmm strange, I drive in the 2k-3k 90% of the time and have not had any problems like that. Believe me I am not 18 anymore either and need a quiet exhaust too.

I have heard both. The borla was not as loud as the gen 2 and the gen 1 was like the gen 1 with test pipes.

WTF? Maybe it was installed wrong. My Borla is no where near 80% louder and I don't have any drone. It still remains one of my favorite mods.

I have Stillen exhaust gen 2 and I am happy with it. You can def. hear it around 2500-3500 rpm. I would like it a little louder though, I have sound clips if you need to them

I've installed multiple exhaust systems over the years on my Z28, Maxima, other F-bodies, Stangs, various Hondas, and my G35. You really can't mess up the install because it only fits one way. Give yourself about 3/4" chassis clearance to account for movement, feel around for leaks when the exhaust is cold, and you're done.

I guess your definition of drone is far different than my definition. Thinner walled tubing, higher flow resonators, and a straight through muffler will make for a lot more drone below 3200rpms. When I say 80%+ louder, I'm talking about initial acceleration from idle to 3200rpms and then under load in the lower rpms. You really can't sit there and tell me this exhaust is tame in that rpm range and you experience no drone what so ever. In stock form, the exhaust is extremely tame, maybe too tame in the 03/04. However, the Borla adds nearly twice the volume in this range. That's what I'm talking about. The sould isn't that healthy either and I should have known that seeing that I've been dealing with the VQ series for 9 years now. I'm not the only one that thinks this exhaust is way louder stock, especially in the lower rpms. I wish I had done more research prior to posting instead of just reading the rave reviews.

It appears that the borla is good for most and not for some, which is common for all exhausts.

It is still the quietest cat-back sedan exhaust made.

Yeah I am very partial to Magnaflow. Magnaflow makes an amazing system for the G35 Coupe. How can you go wrong with Magnaflow. The LIFE TIME WARRANTY and The Quality that goes into this system is Above and Beyond Most Exhaust Systems.

i've got the borla and love it, there's a little drone around 22-3000rpms but nothing too outsanding, its only a little bit more drone than the coupe middy tha i had before. I've driven another sedan with the Stillen gen 2 and the Borla is much more quiet and also deeper. The Stillen is louder and more high pitched.

IMO it does, but its more quiet than the Stillen so other people would disagree with me.
