Sedan Exhaust mod? Need info in time for Christmas

Alright sorry guys I don't want to be annoying but I just wanted to ask a few more things about this mod. To my knowledge I don't think that what I'm about to ask has been discussed. I need some insight and info soon as I will be getting this as a X-mas gift if it seems right. So, here I go..
Will the dealership care about this mod? I'm also talking about Houston, TX where the dealerships West Houston, Soutwesth, Clear Lake, or North Infiniti's would be my case. Will they care if I have this mod? Or will this void my warranty on my exhaust area? "Say" if I had warranty work for either the inner dash OR even the exhaust area will they still warranty my stuff or not? Would void all aspects of the car or just the exhaust area? Thx for ur input guys... I'm just waiting to know so that I can quickly get it done. HEHE.

search for magnuson ross act or magnuson-ross act and warranty. you will find much good info. happy reading.

a catback can be expensive and yield little to no performance gain. go invest in the crawfordzcar aftermarket intake plenum for more bang for the buck. Don't send in your core and pay the full 700.00. keep the core to swap out before you go in for warranty work. also pickup an extra intake manifold gasket (metal) in case you mess yours up.

The plenum is "supposedly" the best easy bolton (hp/dollar wise)

merry xmas.

It's "Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act."

For them to void your warranty, the aftermarket part has to cause the failure. A part like an exhaust isn't going to cause any kind of failure. Basically, you're losing your Infiniti warranty on the exhaust itself (since they didn't make it) -- but you should have a limited warranty from the aftermarket exhaust manufacturer in it's place. An exhaust won't affect the warranty for your radio, A/C, seats, sunroof, lights, etc. etc. etc. It won't affect your engine's warranty, either. Now, lets say you get a cold air intake that routes down into the wheel well, and drive around in a South Texas flooding rain storm and suck water up into your engine -- now it's the intake's fault and your engine warranty is void (btw, good CAI's have a bypass valve to avoid this problem, just using it as an example here).

It's up to the dealer to prove that the components caused the failure. However, in practice, this can get tricky. Let's say you have aftermarket turbos or nitrous or something, and you have some sort of engine trouble. This could get you into a gray area where you have to fight the dealership to get them to fix your car under warranty.

I'm a Houston guy. Went to North Houston Infiniti to get a free oil change yesterday. As many people here know, I've done a lot to my car. They were taking an unusually long time to change my oil. When they were finally done, I realized what was taking so long. Everyone had been checking out my car. It was pretty funny. There were some techs there waiting to ask me what all I had done to it. They loved my car. They even wanted me to rev it up so they can hear it. :^)
