With the Vortech SC, I wonder if the Crawford plenum is needed at all? How much HP is it contributing? Is it overkill?

airflow mods usually up power much better on FI cars vs N/A cars. If the stock engine was able to suck in a little extra air due to better flow, the FI will be able to push much more through because of better flow. At least that's what I havefound

According to my email correspondence with Crawford the plenum will work just fine with an FI system and will only compliment it...You just need to be acutely aware of your air/fuel ratio

Yup, adding the Crawford plenum does change the air/fuel ratio at the upper rpms. The plenum was designed to give more power up top. Combined with an FI system this is especially true and can alter the air/fuel ratios even more so than an NA car. So one needs to be careful and make sure they get their FI car tuned properly or detonation can occur.
