Sedan mod options available soon

While walking through Stillen's shop with Steve Millen last Thursday he pointed out two upcoming products. The first was a G35 Sedan with a hole cut in the hood (and an Eaton Supercharger in place) that's in the final stages of R&D. The second was an interesting set of mandrel bent "shorty" headers. Steve said they make excellent torque as well as horsepower. He wouldn't provide numbers as the commercial version has not been dynoed. The headers will be available in ceramic coated carbon steel and stainless. Rumor has it that the ceramic version will be around $800 and the stainless will run near $1000.

That's all I know right now. For more info I suggest e-mailing or calling Adam@Stillen.com or 1.800.711.4126 x-138
(For those who don't have a sales guy, the first one you talk to is yours forever - PM me for more info)

I second that sales rep thing, Dave... I highly recommend you call Adam first to establish him as your rep. Not afraid to say it! He's on top of things and DOES get back to you!

Even if you just call for info, you'll be stuck with whoever you get -FOREVER-. Call Adam first.

Cheers, Ted

Good info DaveO,

It would be nice to see Stillen header numbers and compare to Crawford as far as craftmanship I know Stillen is the choice.

I hope the combination of upcoming Stillen headers and existing Stillen cat-back exhaust would deliver excellent gain if thats the case those would be my mods of choice after ECU flash first.

AV6,

The quality of Stillen's prototype headers was quite excellent. I agree that torque and horsepower numbers would be nice. I do, however, appreciate dyno numbers from the actual commerrcial product we can buy. The first prototype of Stillen's Sedan exhaust system made more power than the commercial version, but the drone at certain rpms would have driven most folks crazy.

So far I'm extremely happy with all my component "suppliers" and how my AT Sedan's performance inprovements have turned out. My signature provides a list of my major mods to date. Next up, maybe RT cats depending on how loud they are when combined with my Stillen dual catback exhaust system.

DaveO,
Its cool to be "insider" to bring some latest news.

Have you recently DYNO your G or you waiting to install Stillen headers and RT cats and do it after? Just curious on the gain comparing to mine stock 04 auto sedan. I asked Gurgen and he's going after throwing some additional mods. I wish someone would do a DYNO before and after Stillen headers and exhaust that way we would clearly see the actual gain. Well, I will do sometime in the future since my top priority now is custom internals, cams, throttle body and performance tranny w/ LSD coming in February for my boosted Accord V6 then list goes on with E-Manage (I hope) and aftercooler.

I'm getting my RT cats put in and tuned by TS in the next few days - before the meet I hope. We'll find out how loud they are with the Stillen Catback very soon

Gurgen, MSMT (Mighty Sedan Mod Tester),

I look forward to getting together to install your 350Z thermostat when I get back from Phoenix next week. I definitely want to hear your RT-Stillen combination first hand. In the mean time, be sure to let us all know how your latest mod works out... sound, power and effect on A/F ratio.

Re: Sedan mod options available soon

That's a nice nickname - I'll take it! MSMT!!!

Sorry I was out of touch - my car was at the dealer today all day - I am now worried that we can't fix everything before my break is over. They did do the suspension though which was the main thing. picking up the car tomorrow at 9am and running over to Jeff's, then to EZ Lube to clean the injectors, and then to TS (wanna make sure the injectors are clean - I do so every 15K and makes the car run like new).

The effect on A/F ratio is well known... at least on the 350z. It leans out the curve everywhere (meaning across the rpm range).

WILL REPORT BACK ASAP , assuming I get it done tomorrow.

Gurgen

Re: Sedan mod options available soon

Here's the latest on the Stillen "Short" Headers. They'll fit the G35 Sedan, Coupe and 350Z and reportedly maintain 3/4-inch of clearance from the steering column. They'll work with stock and quality aftermarket cat/downpipes.

Haven't seen the dyno charts but the advertised power increases look good.
Peak torque - 18.5lb.-ft. @ 3800rpm & Peak hp - 11.5 @ 6200rpm.

"Official" prices... Stainless steel - $ 998 - Ceramic coated carbon steel - $ 811

Stainless headers will be available the week of December 29th. The ceramic coated carbon steel headers should be available in 2 1/2 - 3 weeks.
