The delay is there so the mirror doesn't constently move up and down when parallel parking.

It will work on both auto and manual trannys.

Any way to user define the amount of delay then? Not sure if I'd always want the delay, so it'd be nice to customize it.

It would be possible (all of our products are designed and built in house, so we can do whatever we want with them), but that functionality does not currently exist.

I, personally, have never ran in to a circumstance where I used the tilt function and then needed to mirror to immediately be back in to place. I typically use the mirror to park, so the delay doesn't come in to play.

However, I occasionally use the tilt mirror to back down my driveway, but again, the tilted mirror doesn't bother me because I make sure the road is clear before I back in to it.

The only time I have found that it would help is when you back up and want to turn your car off right away but need to wait a couple seconds for the mirror to come back up. I always need to let my turbos cool down so it is never been an issue.

You don't need to wait, it will go back up even if you shut the ignition off.

Oh it will! Sweet! I figured it would shut off if the ignition wire went out.

The original prototype did, and I found that to be unacceptable, so there is now a 12vdc switched and a 12vdc constant wire - the constant wire allows the mirror to return to original position when the igniton is turned off.

The module will also NOT tilt the mirror if the car is started in reverse (great for us 6mt guys).
