A 'whoosh' sound when accelarating? Air intake?

I just noticed a 'whoosh' sound when accelarating at relatively low revs (2500-3000). It sounds like air intake but the sound seems to come from the right hand side of the car.

Could it be a leaking exhaust from stone damage or the tail pipe bumping the curb?

Appreciate your feedback

you have to take off the engine cover it has 4 bolts. Then look at the plenum and lower plenum. If there is nothing in between, then you do not have a spacer.

It's the air intake. I never had it before, but had it immediately after installing.

ABS check? Does it only make the sound for a short moment and after the car has been sitting for a while?

let your foot sit on the brake pedal when starting to move. you should feel it shake a little if it's the abs test

it's the air intake...It's designed for performance...although at a high sound cost. Remember infiniti designed the air intake/plenum very very well

I am pretty sure its an ABS test. cuz my friend's 06 G35 has the same sound too. my 97 Nissan Quest makes the same sound too.

if u put step on ur pedal when that sound happens, u will feel the brake rattles a little too
