I just followed the directions IIRC. I'll try to take a look at my wiring tomorrow.

Thanks, it was done by Chris aka the04coupe. He literally built the circuit boards for them to alternate like that. I will let him chime in and give the technical details.

did the mod today, works perfect.

i did toss in an LED to check if it would hyperblink and it does NOT. you can even unplug the side marker and it still doesn't hyperblink

I finally bit the bullet and did the mod today after coming across the DIY article about a year ago. Took about an hour to do both sides (if I had read the original post and known that the wire extension wasn't necessary, the mod would've gone a little quicker).

Nevertheless, nice little mod to set yourself apart from the rest of the sedans

stormtropa i was wondering did you hook the wire up before or after the harness? And were they the colors mention in the original post?

Not sure what you mean by before or after the harness, but I used a wire tap or whatever it's called right behind the headlight plug itself and cut the black wire to the side marker. And for my car it was green/white on left and purple/white on the right.

He's referring to post #3. It sounds like you tapped in after the harness.
