Side Marker Mod (flashing) for Sedan Update
Brad's side marker mod instructions (to make it flash with turn signal) at http://www.6mt.net/shop/sidemarker.asp are very good, (thanks Brad) but were were written for the coupe. I just completed the mod on my 6MT Sedan and I'm pleased to report that the mod is even easier on the sedan than described for the coupe.
This is a great mod, and it seems a strange oversight that it doesn't come factory wired this way. To install just follow Brad's excellent instuctions, with the following changes:
1. don't bother making a jumper wire extension, the wires you need are close enough to tap without it.
2. The Coupe apprears to have two different colors side to side. On the sedan the wire colors are the same for left and right sides; still use the black wire that runs to the side marker light, but tap this wire to the GREEN/YELLOW STRIPED wire that goes to the front blinker (lowest bulb).
As I said these wires practically touch each other so just cut the black, tap to the green, tape it up and you're done. It takes much longer to get to the wires and wrap it all back up than to make the mod.
Takes less than a hour a side.

Thanks Kenct
I saw those instructions burried inside of another post and brought them back up to the front a few weeks back.
My post

The strange thing is that there were alot of variations of colored wires on each install. Green here, purple there, black this white that :-) Take a look at the above post and you will see what im talking about.
Either way, its easy and a worth while mod. Took me about 1 hour for both.
Thanks!

This is what I wrote on the other post:
OK folks. Here's the deal. I did mine today on my 03.5 sedan, and found why there is a discrepency. Coming directly out of the turn signal, the wire you want to tap is green with a yellow stripe on BOTH sides. However, if you want to tap AFTER the harness, the wire changes to green with a white stripe on the driver's side, and purple on the passenger's side. I chose to tap into the Green/yellow wire on both sides, because I figured it is cheaper to replace that section of wire vs the section after the harness if something ever went wrong (not that it would). The only down side to tapping into the green/yellow wire is that if for some reason you ever have to change out your headlight, they usually replace everything, including the wiring harnesses, and your tap would interfere with that. Either way, it is not a big deal. The green/yellow wire is easier to access in my opinion, and there is more slack in it as well. It worked very well, and is truly worth more than the $5 it cost in parts. Much more safety, and it looks cool too (especially when the lights are on).
