Just had 1400 dollars worth of body work done (because of a hit and run at an airport parking garage). This work included the bumping out of a large dent on the front bumper+paint as well as fender repaint and driver's side door repaint as well as new mudflaps. As soon as I got onto I-95 and got up to around 70-75 MPH I hear a blood-curdling sound from under the engine. The lip was not secured properly and half came off and caught air and proceeded to pull my whole bumper down. I pulled over before it could finish, and now have a missing sidemarker, (which when i went back to find saw it had been run over and totally crushed) and a large crack from under the headlight to the base of the bumper, as well as cracked bumper brackets. The bumper is being held on now by gorilla tape and bungee cords, real ghetto fab. I am taking it back to the shop at lunch to drop off and I can't wait to hear what they have to say about this. I have been nothing but satisfied with this shop in the past but this definitely makes me reconsider.

 

If you went through your insurance company to pay these guys, give them a call and let them know to expect additional charges. I'm sure the insurance company's lawyers will make nice with the shop though
