'06 vs. '07 Door handles. Flush is better!

We'll see if this gets moved to one of the other endless sub-forums on this site.

I got a question for you guys. It seems as though every car maker is switching over to raised door handles (like the '07 G sedan or coupe) instead of the flush door handles (like the '06 G sedan for example). Now is it just me or don't flush door handles look much better? Why would anyone want door handle protruding from the sides of the car? It seems as though this is now an industry standard and it sort of pisses me off knowing that my next car will probably have these ugly growths as door handles. I love the door handles on my '05. Anyone else agree?

i like the new ones better

only because I hate scratching my nails below the handle

i hate it so much that i leave electric tape behind it so it is softer

Either way is fine with me but I do like how clean the flush looks.

I prefer the new look myself but mainly because 1) there is no keyhole on either side and 2) I almost always have something in my hands so it is easier to hook a finger in the new handle and pull it open. To each his (or her) own I suppose.

Flush is sexy...but the new ones are ergonomically better designed. Wouldn't it be cool if they were flush with the body and popped out for you to grab when you walked up to it? Something with the intellikey system. Now that would be cool...

As long as the door opens... I really don't care. I've never grabbed a car door handle and thought "hmph, this handle really sux"
